This motor cruiser was built in 1989 and has been well cared for by her owners. Semi-custom built, this Seaward 23 has the galley fitted in the wheelhouse rather than the forward cabin, allowing more locker space below. 'Chit Chat' is a tidy little boat with bags of character that is ideal for coastal and river pottering for a couple or young family. With numerous improvements carried out - hull gelcoat removed, fresh epoxy applied then finished in 'copper-coat' , cockpit canopy replaced, various navigation equipment fitted, she is lying ashore ready for viewing.

Construction: G.R.P. with teak joinery.

Mechanical Data: Twin 56hp Mermaid diesel engine with indirect cooling (all round access to engine). 3 x batteries: 2 x for starter motor & 1 x Deep Cycle for winch. Delco deep cycle batteries and condition indicators with changeover and isolating switch. Batteries, shaft cutlass bearings, thru-hull valves for toilet replaced. Original propeller shaft seals replaced with non-drip, water fed units and in 2006 the cam belts were renewed.

Remarks: The Seaward 23's have proven seakeeping qualities and are probably the most sea kindly vessels in this size range. With a top speed of around 14 knots and comfortable cruising speeds of around 11 knots. Approx engine hours: 1010.
